It started with Legos, then led to drafting classes in High School. A Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture landed Russell a job at Philip Johnson’s Office in NYC. After passing all nine of his Architecture Registration Exams in nine months, Russell became a Registered Architect in New York State. A career pivot to Project Manager/Site Superintendent at Bovis Lend Lease was a crash course in what it takes to build ground up high-rise towers. Looking to make a positive impact on the NYC landscape (armed with a toolbelt full of construction knowledge, a little luck and a lot of Ramen Noodle), Russell took the leap and founded Blueberry Builders in 2010.
