Vers
Located in Hell’s Kitchen, VERS was the first post-covid gay bar of its kind in the area. What started as a straightforward gut renovation quickly became a challenge as decades of unseen existing conditions were exposed during the demolition process. Given the noise constraints of a late-night bar in a residential building; the ceiling was engineered to hang directly to the century old wood rafters using vibration isolators to reduce sound transfer to the apartments above. With a stage for nightly performances, full kitchen, DJ booth and bar that runs the full length of space, it is no wonder that VERS continues to be the most popular spot in Hell’s Kitchen.
